Anchor Exim is run by Mukesh Shirke, who spent many years in India before relocating to the UK.
That move is really where this business comes from. Since relocating, there have been repeated moments of looking for something from India — a specific product, a certain quality — and either not finding it in the UK at all, or finding a version that didn't match what's genuinely available back home. That gap, experienced directly and repeatedly, is what Anchor Exim is built to address: connecting UK buyers directly with independent Indian manufacturers, without layers of distributors in between.
